I really am starting to blog again seriously. My blog is going to focus on food, however, I will also talk about technology.
On Food, currently, on my mind is How to Cook Everything the iPad/iphone app. I would recommend it!
On technology, embrace it or become obsolete or at least unproductive!!
Have not posted in a minute. Thomas kellers fried chicken recipe from Adhoc is amazing!
Ready to hit the road for NYC foodshow and get the hell out of here! I am planning on checking out di faro in Brooklyn supposedly best pizza in NYC!
Heard Merril Hoge speak tonight. He was was a steeler from approximately 87-93 and is currently a football analyst with ESPN. He was an excellent speaker. Captivating and motivating. One of his big points was you can be successful in whatever aspect that you so choose. The key is “wanting it more” and “finding a way.” Very moving!
A couple of great wines I got in at Anthony’s. Also, a pic of Chimay Blue. We do have Chimay Blue, at least yet. I am looking to expand our beer selection the very near future!!! If you have any requests let me know!!!!!!!
Kinda Sick of Snow. Got off work early today. Dug out. Roasted a chicken. Made some gravy. Wasn’t as productive as a day as I would have liked… Just couldn’t get motivated. Weather got me feeling blue….
On the bright side my wines came in at the liquor store :)
Mount Eden Chardonnay 2006 rated a 96!
“Simply delicious, a rich, buttery style, delivering ripe, vivid and delicate peach, pear and honeydew melon fruit that’s complex, concentrated and full-bodied Offers excellent length and depth. Creamy oak adds a touch of smoke and vanilla. The texture is silky.” WS
Quinta Do Vallado Doura 2007 rated a 93. “This powerful and refined red delivers concentrated flavors of plum, dried cherry and spice. Offers a fine texture, with plenty of savory herbal notes, followed by a long, olive- and smoke-filled finish. Drink now through 2015. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.” WS
There was third wine I got also, but cannot remember what it was…..
I am just getting into wine, don’t know much….
But it should be an exciting journey……
Also, started a facebook page for my father’s restaurant: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Johnstown-PA/Anthonys-Restaurant/86386104397
Got some good pics up. Check it out.
Rizzo Family Pilgrimage to Peter Lugar’s January 2009. Can’t wait to get back!!! Words can explain their steak…..
Bacon and Eggs…Perfect poached egg with pork belly hollandaise sauce and asparagus. Chef Brian Pekarcik’s creation. He will be well known in Pittsburgh soon enough…..
Pan Seared Salmon with Mango salsa, made this over my lunch break a couple months ago. So simple, but good. I am going to start documenting my culinary adventures more often. I really want to work at finding the perfect beer or wine to match with my food. We all gotta eat everyday (most of us 3 times a day) why not enjoy and savor it?
